PILATES
Pilates
Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility, strength and endurance movements linked to a deep and rhythmic breath. Pilates promotes core strength, body awareness, flexibility, proper postural alignment, and muscle balance - you will feel stronger from the inside out!
Pilates is named for its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed the exercises in the 1920! Since then Pilates has been adapted to suit everyBody and proven to have many more health benefits far beyond a strong core!

I’m offering private, semi-private and corporate/group classes. Contact me for a free consultation to discuss your personal goals and needs and how to get started!
Who can do Pilates?
Pilates is for everyBody! It isn't just for athletes and dancers, it is actually a very accessible and highly customizable way to build strength in your core muscles for better posture, balance and flexibility and can be adapted to suit everyBody - from beginner to advanced, for all ages and fitness levels. In my sessions we will address your personal goals and needs, meeting you where you are and taking you where you want to go!
What do I need?
Pilates does not require any specialized equipment and can be done on the floor with just a mat. In some cases, if appropriate and available, I might use resistance bands as a way to either increase the challenge or to add support to an exercise. Another great benefit of resistance bands is that they help to make many exercises more enjoyable and effective and they can easily be adapted to your specific fitness level and needs.
