CERTIFICATIONS & TRAININGS

If you stumble, make it part of your dance.
Motion is lotion.
Awareness is key.
Nature holds all the answers.

These are the precepts I strive to align my life and my teachings with.

I grew up in Switzerland and moved to New York City in 2011 to follow my passion for dance and movement. Originally, I began practicing Yoga and Pilates to complement my dance training, but I was immediately stunned by its strengthening and healing benefits for the body, mind and soul. Since then, I became certified in Yoga, Meditation and Pilates.

My teachings are inspired by my foundational training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and SAFS, the years I spent as a dancer and the subsequent years I spent in physical therapy and Strength Training. My teachings are also influenced by my love of dancing and movement and a constant curiosity about anatomy, biomechanics and functional mobility & strength.

One of the things that makes me come back to my practice over and over again is that mindful movement has made me softer and kinder to myself and helped me to see a different point of view - to see life and the world around me through a different lens, a lens of abundance, gratitude, and possibility rather than through a lens that is colored by fear, anger, lack or jealousy. Yoga not only helped me to soften and lighten those tints on my lens, but it has also made my life so much richer, more joyful, and exciting! And even though I sometimes still find my first reaction is through the lens of negativity I can now move through and shift very quickly or immediately to that lens of positivity.

I define wellness and health as a feeling of vitality, fulfillment, connection, and resilience to life’s ups, downs, and imperfections. In my classes I strive to educate, assist and empower my students on their unique journey, encouraging them to invest in their own overall health and self-care. I’m dedicated to providing a safe environment in which my students can connect to their own creativity and find their own edge in a soothing, fun, light-hearted, yet strengthening and grounding way with focus on the breath and anatomical as well as energetic alignment. I currently teach private, corporate, and group classes in the NYC area as well as online.

I had the privilege to learn from and study with so many incredibly gifted teachers around the world: Paula Tursi, Coby Kozlowski, Larissa Hall Carlson, Michelle Dalbec, Sage Rountree, Caitlin Casella, Laurel Beversdorf, Stephanie Bittner, Elizabeth Wipff, Michelle Barber, Vidya Mardi Sykes, Hedy Iankelevich, T’ai Jamar Hanna, Melissa Gutierrez and Victoria Gordon, among many others, including each and every person that I meet!
